What has been your biggest achievement this month?
Being back in the team I love. It is so exciting to be back at Ampersand and learning all about the superb new venues added to our portfolio since I left. I feel I have also made big steps in bonding our newly formed Operations team – I love a bit of team building.
What is the best thing you have tasted this month?
I went for an amazing six course tasting menu in Hoxton, just round the corner from our offices, which included the most incredible doughnut for dessert. It literally melted in the mouth. Simply delicious!
What’s your favourite food fact?
Eat little and often is my number one rule, and mid-morning snacks are key! Working in operations means we are always on the go, so I make sure I have my elevenses to keep me going until lunchtime.
If someone asked you to give them a single piece of advice, what would you say?
Be honest and be yourself in every situation
If you could try out any other job for a day, what would you like to try?
A chef! I adore food, and I was a chef 13 years ago before I moved into operations. I would love to have the opportunity to learn all the new techniques that have taken over the industry in the last decade… Maybe I should ask our head chef if we can swap for a day… Maybe not!
