We love surprising the onsite teams at our lovely venues, and most recently, we invited them to enjoy a spot of "tea at 3” from our special, hand-delivered hampers.
Inside our lucky clients found English breakfast tea, milk and a mini sugar pot, as well as a tea diffuser to help them brew the perfect cup and an Ampersand travel mug to enjoy it in. We also included a very special purple velvet "piñata” cake with berry buttercream and a Smarties surprise concealed within.
Laura Johnson was out all day in the van and her first stop was the Museum of London – the sister venue to her old home the Museum of London Docklands – before she made a whistle-stop tour of Guildhall, Armourers’ hall, Trinity House, the Tower of London, Banqueting House, Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Kensington Palace, St James Palace, the Royal College of Art, Whitechapel gallery, Clissold House and East Wintergarden – phew! Meanwhile, Jess and Kate covered South West London, visiting Kew Gardens, Chiswick House and Hampton Court Palace.
The teams told us that their mid-afternoon tea treat could not have come at a better time – just as they were starting to feel hungry and were craving something sweet our special care packages arrived. It was another successful surprise for Ampersand, and we saw fantastic comments on Twitter.
