At Ampersand Events, we love the opportunity to show our skill at grand occasions where perfection is paramount, and the 235th Queen Charlotte’s Ball at Kensington Palace was a very special event indeed, not only for us but also the seventeen young ladies who made their debut that evening.
The ball has been an annual tradition for over two centuries, so the challenge was on to make sure we created a traditional dinner that showed respect for that illustrious past, as requested by the client, but also offered something fresh and exciting. With this in mind, we opened the meal with our golden beetroot and charred goat’s cheese salad. This dish is a perfect match for such an event, presenting very British flavours in a truly beautiful "miniature garden on a plate”, with irresistible colours that always start a meal in style.
Our main course was supreme of Guinea fowl with seasonal vegetables, offering a gentle twist, with Guinea fowl instead of chicken, on an ultimate British classic!
We followed the traditional style of our starter and main, with our own Ampersand tradition – something "out of the box”! We served our mouth-watering Granny Smith poached meringue with banoffee Anglaise -a dessert that always puts smiles on faces and takes every diner straight back to their sweet toothed childhood.
If you want an event filled with special touches and personal service, you want Ampersand Events! Not only are we the caterer, we’re the planner, the organiser, the adviser – we are the glue that holds everything together!
