We all fell in love with The Violin Factory when we chose it as the venue for our client party last November, so we were thrilled to discover that Neutrogena had chosen it for their launch. The challenge was on to create a menu fit for these exquisite surroundings, as well as representing the new Nordic Berry product line and pleasing the discerning beauty editors who would be sampling it.
Working alongside genius nutritionist Ian Marber, we created a Nordic menu consisting of: Nordic cured salmon with a cos lettuce and mustard salad and marinated cucumber for starter, followed by grass fed beef with a parsley crust, baked heritage root vegetables, kale, and blueberry scented jus. The finishing touch was a walnut and date raw cake served with Nordic berry sorbet.
As each dish was presented, Ian Marber explained the nutritional and beauty benefits of each ingredient and the thinking behind the dish; never has a fillet of beef sounded so good!
With our food going to beauty editors and writers from the likes of Look, Reveal, YOU, Company and The Daily Telegraph, we knew that the menu would be under intense scrutiny, but the feedback was simply exceptional. Too often on events, we have to rely upon empty plates as a indicator of enjoyment, but this group of fabulous and web-savvy guests took to Twitter to share their delight.
Beauty Magazine: ‘Loved the yummy Neutrogena supper’
Women & Essentials: ‘ Yummy healthy dinner with Neutrogena!’
YOU: ‘Eating while listening to how great [the food] is for my skin? Yes please’
Ian Marber: ‘Thank you so much, truly delicious and innovative. Please send me more of that walnut berry creation!’
We were delighted to have the opportunity to create a bespoke menu to perfectly suit our client’s event, what an exciting challenge.
