Our Venue of the Month: The Museum of London

The Museum of London is a real hub of culture and a celebration of all that makes our beloved city so great, tracing the history of the capital and its people through a variety of fascinating galleries and exhibits.

Of course, what we love most is its amazing potential for brilliant events. With a great range of exciting events spaces available, there’s huge scope to create exactly what you want. From the spacious Sackler Hall, home to a one-of-a-kind customisable digital ellipse, to the tranquil Terrace Rooms, with their own private garden area, there’s something here for every event.

We’ve organised some fantastic Christmas parties at the Museum of London, and the space makes an amazing impression for large scale receptions, perhaps making use of the superbly appointed Sackler Hall. The variety of spaces, myriad talking points and fascinating subject really makes it a perfect choice for these sort of special occasions.

Right now, the museum is gearing up for the October launch of its brand new exhibition ‘The Crime Museum’, which will display never-before-seen items and artifacts from the Metropolitan Police’s Crime Museum. The museum team predict that this will be an incredibly popular exhibition, given the exciting content and the fact that it has never been on show before. Evening event bookers can hire the gallery exclusively, as part of their dinner or reception, with the option of including an exclusive curator talk.

It’s now three years since the Olympics took place in London, and to celebrate this anniversary, the museum are offering free access to the gallery that displays the London 2012 cauldron. You could hire the area as part of an arrival drinks reception or add a special viewing to your event.

In fact, the Museum of London is really spoiling us, since we can also offer one additional hour of venue hire, from 11pm-midnight, free of charge for all bookings of the Sackler Hall. Why stop the fun early?
