JC Roumignac, Director of Operations

Our Director of Operations Jean Christophe oversees the services at some of Ampersand’s iconic fixed venues including the In & Out Club, The Little Ship Club and Holyroodhouse.
Gaining a degree from a top catering college France, Jean Christophe went on to establish his career at several prestigious French hotels before moving to the UK to work at The Olde Bell in Hurley. He became the General Manager the Copper Inn Hotel in Pangbourne, Berkshire and then at The White Hart Hotel in Nettlebed, near Henley-on-Thames before joining Ampersand in 2004.
For me it’s about that whole experience; being served good food, in a great location and how it makes you feel.


JC’s astute commercial judgement has been integral in securing and organising significant events for Ampersand. As well as being behind the initiation of new ideas and improvements at our venues, he is responsible for organising the catering and set up for The Queen’s renowned garden tea parties at Buckingham Palace. He has also overseen the smooth running of banquets and dinners for the former President of Zambia and the Order of Malta.

“Quality of service is something I am particularly passionate about,” explains JC. “For me it’s about that whole experience; being served good food, in a great location and how it makes you feel. That’s what makes for an unforgettable experience and that’s what I strive for at Ampersand.”
