Paul Jackson, Managing Director

As the Managing Director of Ampersand Paul is responsible for the overall approach of our business. He leads and inspires the team, making sure that we all work together towards the same goal of offering a unique and tailored service to all of the venues within our portfolio.


Paul started his catering career at Cliveden, the 5 Red Star luxury hotel, made famous in the Profumo affair. It was there that he completed his training, working his way up to become food and beverage manager of the hotel's Michelin-starred ‘Waldo's’ restaurant.
Sometimes I have to stop and pinch myself when I think of the incredible locations that we work with day in and day out.


Paul went on to fulfil his dream of running his own restaurants before entering the commercial world of contract catering, before joining CH&Co in 2000 as a Projects Manager. He then worked his way up the career ladder, taking on the roles of Group Manager, Operations Manager and Operations Director, before being promoted to Managing Director in June 2010.

Paul’s ambition is to achieve complete synergy with all Ampersand clients, working seamlessly with the venues to consistently deliver a first rate service: “It's a real privilege to have the opportunity to work closely with great teams on such a wonderful portfolio of contracts. Sometimes I have to stop and pinch myself when I think of the incredible locations that we work with day in and day out. I look forward to the exciting new challenges ahead and growing our business.”
