With the festive season well and truly in full swing, this month we're checking in with Chloe Martin, our fantastic Senior Sales and Events Executive.
What is the best thing you have tasted this month?
Braised Shoulder of Loire Valley Rabbit with wholegrain mustard mousseline at my absolute favourite restaurant Clos Maggiore. If you haven’t been yet, you must go! The most romantic restaurant in London and simply exquisite food!
What are you most looking forward to in the month ahead?
Having organised some fabulous Christmas parties, I am looking forward to a little rest and relaxation over the holidays. I am also really (sad I know!) looking forward to some desk time in January to get ourselves on track for the year ahead!
What has been your biggest achievement this month?
Event managing our largest corporate booking of the year. Taking very much a blank canvas venue, and transforming it into a wonderful masquerade ball, and looking after every detail from entertainment and production, to catering and theming. Most importantly the client feedback post event makes it all worthwhile and has to be the biggest achievement.
Your best food fact
Apples are more effective at waking you up than coffee! If only I followed my own fact and ate these instead of the caffeine boost in the office!
If someone asked you to give them a single piece of advice, what would you say?
For the best advice of all time simply search ‘Baz Luhrmann, Everybody’s Free to Wear Sunscreen‘. I defy anyone to not feel inspired after watching!
If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try?
I feel very passionately about aid work in Africa, and if I could go and run a program I once volunteered for in Zambia, supporting HIV clinics and child care, I would be there in a flash!
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?
I would love to be able to be in two places at once! If I could have half of me at my desk on emails and half on events, life would be a lot easier! That said, half at work and half on a beach/ski slopes wouldn’t be bad either!
