Ampersand’s executive chef, Peter Thompson, triumphantly lifted the Chef of the Year award at the inaugural SLC (Sport & Leisure Catering) Awards.
The judges were impressed by the creativity, innovation and leadership skills of the experienced chef, who beat strong competition to claim the title of Chef of the Year in the sport and leisure catering arena. Peter received his award in front of Ampersand colleagues and industry peers at the SLC Awards event on Wednesday 13 September. Peter Thompson said of his win: “What a great feeling to be crowned the very first SLC Awards Chef of the Year. There are some brilliant and inspirational chefs in the sport and leisure sector and to be singled out above these is amazing. I’m honoured to receive this award.
