Jemma Chown and Sue Folds from Berry Recruitment approached Ampersand at ZSL London Zoo to host their annual sales awards ceremony. Both believed the unique setting would create a truly unforgettable experience for their staff and provide a brilliant way to thank them for all their hard work over the previous year.
The evening began with a Prosecco reception in the Reptile House, where the guests were visited and entertained by Roo and Liam, a pair of adorable meerkats. Then followed an elegant three course dinner and dancing into the small hours in the stunning Prince Albert Suite.
The Ampersand chefs and waiting staff knew they had a challenge on their hands, with the added pressure of catering for someone in the same industry. They rose to the occasion, providing a winning menu and flawless service that wowed the guests, with Sue commenting, ‘The Food and venue were excellent. I would like to say a special thanks to your staff who were all very attentive and cheerful throughout the evening.’
Prepared with passion to ensure a memorable dining experience, the sumptuous menu consisted of hot smoked salmon salad, red wine braised corn-fed chicken and a gorgeous espresso crème brulee served with honeycomb ice cream and butterscotch sauce.
Feedback from both the organiser and the guests was fantastic; they wrote to say, ‘Thank you very much for a superb event on Friday. We all really enjoyed ourselves. I will certainly recommend the zoo as a splendid venue and we may well use you again next year!’
